ZRemesher and Projection in ZBrush 4R7 – Transfer highpoly to lowpoly by Jaakko Saari
Sometimes in sculpting process we get problem when we change the shape and underlying base mesh starts to get stretched. Working in Dynamesh can help, but sometimes it’s necessary to to do the process of transferring details to a new mesh. In this tutorial we will take a look how we can use ZRemesher to create new base mesh that is optimized to the shape of our rock model, and then use Projection in Subtools palette to transfer details.
This can also be used to create low-res model and textures to be used in game engines. ZRemesher can be used and then UVS can be added to the low poly. Then, just divide the model to desired resolution and do the projection like in the video.
