Substance Painter Merge Texture Sets Workflow

In this video we will look at a workflow for merging Substance Painter texture sets using Substance Designer.

We will look at a preferred method for working with material groups within a single texture set as well as a method for merging texture sets from multiple materials.

Merging texture sets is a feature that is planned for Substance Painter. The goal of this video is to provide a workaround until merging texture sets are officially supported in Substance Painter.

The substance utility shown in this video can be found on Substance Share. This utility is designed to help further automate this process and can be used with the free Substance Player for those who don’t have Substance Designer.
